Garden room FAQs
What is the garden structure made from?
Many or our garden rooms are built using the best construction method on the market – structurally insulated panels (SIPs). This means that your garden room will be well-insulated, airtight, and require minimal heating, even in winter. We also offer our clients an option to build in a more traditional timber frame method which we insulate to the same level as our SIPs structure. To make your garden room look beautiful on the outside, we offer various options for cladding including Western Red Cedar, Siberian Larch, Southern Grandis, Shou Sugi Ban, Thermopine or composite cladding. You can choose between horizontal or vertical cladding, and we’ll provide samples during the design process to help you make the perfect decision.
Can you design a custom shape garden room?
Whether your garden is oddly shaped or you have trees nearby, we can design and build a custom garden room that takes into account your garden boundaries, existing trees, and the position of your house. Our goal is to create a space that perfectly matches your garden. With our bespoke design service, we tailor our solutions to suit you and your garden.
Do I need planning permission?
Our garden rooms are designed to bypass the need for planning permission. They follow permitted development guidelines. Worried about regulations? Don’t be! We’ll give you all the info you need during our free consultation.
How long does it take to build?
Most of our garden rooms take approximately three weeks to construct from start to finish.
